Johnny Morgan—the enterprising spirit behind Custom Computers—embarked on his business journey at the tender age of eleven, working in his family's shoe repair shop. By seventeen, he had acquired Watkin’s Shoes in Pleasant Hill, California.
He recognized early on that the true measure of success was customer satisfaction over quick profits. This principle guided him to expand to five additional shoe stores before turning twenty-two.
However, facing a declining shoe industry in the early '90s due to low-cost imports, Johnny pivoted to technology, launching Custom Computers in 1994.
As the computer industry evolved, so did Custom Computers, adapting to the shifting landscape where initially, building systems were lucrative and support secondary. The company's enduring success is attributed to its unwavering commitment to customer service, satisfaction, and support, principles that have remained constant even as the business landscape transformed.
